How can evidence-based decision-making be implemented in education systems in practice – and what can we learn from examples in school leadership and public administration in the United Kingdom?

We are delighted to welcome Jonathan Kay as the speaker for the third session of our lunchtime series “Digital Impulses” on 26 August 2025.

Jonathan Kay is Head of Evidence Synthesis and International at the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) – a leading UK-based charity dedicated to promoting evidence-informed education policy with a particular focus on improving outcomes for disadvantaged pupils. He is responsible for the Teaching and Learning Toolkit as well as EEF’s international partnerships across 20 countries.

In his talk, Jonathan Kay will share two practical examples of how data is being effectively used in the UK – both at the level of education administration and at the school leadership level. He will highlight how evidence-based tools are applied in practice and what value they add to decision-making processes.

Following the presentation, we warmly invite you to join the open discussion.

Take this opportunity to gain hands-on inspiration for using data and evidence more effectively in your own school or education administration.

Please note: This session will be held in English.
