Most government entities have a digital strategy of sorts – but few of these seem to make a real difference. But it doesn't have to be that way. In 2020 Greenwich Council published their Digital Strategy and it's widely considered one of the best and most thoughtful ones.
The development of the strategy was led by Kit Collingwood, who leads digital, data, technology, and customer services at Royal Borough of Greenwich council in London. In this session, Kit will share what makes for an effective digital strategy and what you might learn from the Greenwhich experience.
Before joining Greenwich, Kit was a civil servant for over 9 years in various head of digital, head of technology, and head of data roles. Kit is passionate about service delivery to vulnerable groups, empowering teams, and working across boundaries. She likes to use the best of digital technology to improve people’s lives.
Kit also co-founded the One Team Government movement in 2017, which is a network of public servants around the world who meet to share ways to make government more effective.
This staatskantine #58 with Kit Collingwood will take place on Tuesday, April 4, 12-1.15pm CET online (Zoom).
The event is aimed at public servants working in Switzerland and will be held in English.
